At this time, Emano Flow requires a physician order. If you are interested in trying Emano Flow, we recommend speaking with your physician. We are always eager to collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure patients have access to the newest tools and technology.
While Emano Flow can provide information about urinary flow rate, it's important to note that it's not a diagnostic tool. Any concerns about urinary problems should be discussed with a healthcare professional. Emano Flow results should be used in conjunction with physician assessment and diagnosis.
Emano Flow utilizes machine learning algorithms to accurately isolate urination sounds in the recording and convert it into flow rate measurements. It has been extensively developed and tested to account for differences in bathroom acoustics, patient anatomical variations, toilet geometries, background noise, and various smartphone models.
All you need is a smartphone to record your urinations and access the Emano Flow app. No additional equipment is required.
We do not charge patients directly for the use of Emano Flow. The cost to the patient will be determined by the clinic. We recommend that patients speak with their clinic to determine if there will be any additional costs.
You should record as many urinations as possible during your two week order period. We suggest recording every urination for at least 2 full days (including nighttime urinations) and at least 30 in total, but the more you record the more informative your results will be.
At the moment, Emano Flow is only compatible with standing urination. Flow rate detection for the sitting position is under development.
Emano Flow is currently only designed for men who stand to urinate. However, we are actively working on expanding the capabilities of Emano Flow to support other use cases, including women, in the future.
